The Kirk Gibson Foundation (KGF) Privacy Policy applies to all information received by KGF and any information you provide to third-party vendors operating on behalf of KGF.  By visiting or using this website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

KGF reserves the right to make changes to this policy without notice. Any changes will be reflected on this page so please check this privacy page periodically.

  1. Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

KGF may automatically receive and record non-personal information, including your IP address, browsing actions and traffic patterns, which is automatically collected through cookies and other tracking technologies as you navigate our website. KGF and its third-party vendors may use this information to optimize our website performance, provide you with relevant information about our programs and services, improve the technical performance and personalized experience of our website and to run our business. You can visit KGF’s website without revealing personal information. By accessing our website and voluntarily providing us with personal information, including name, email address, mailing address, postal code and personal connection to Parkinson’s disease, you consent to the collection and use of the information in accord with this Privacy Policy. Personal and credit card information is also collected through donations submitted on financial transaction pages. This information is used to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes and to include you on KGF’s mailing list, if you choose to join it. When you send a donation in honor or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgement be sent to another individual, we will use the name and address of that individual for acknowledgement purposes only.

  1. Information Sharing and Disclosure

KGF will not sell or rent your information to others. KGF may otherwise disclose your personal information when:

  1. We have your express consent to share the information for a specified purpose.
  2. We need to respond to subpoenas, court orders or other legal process.
  3. We need to protect or defend the rights or property of KGF.
  4. We find that your actions on our website violate any of our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.

KGF takes data security seriously and applies industry-standard practices and technologies to safeguard your personal and credit card information. There is no guarantee that your information is completely safe from breach of our computer systems and servers. In the event of a breach, KGF will comply with its regulatory obligations.

By providing personal information, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you agree to comply with this privacy policy.  We will not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If you do not consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, please do not provide any personal information to KGF. KGF provides an online form to join our communications list. If you have “opted-in” to receive communications, we may send you regular communications, either via e-mail or regular mail. Email subscribers may unsubscribe from all email communications by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of all KGF emails.
