The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s has issued grants in 2022 to the following organizations and programs:

Michigan Parkinson Foundation

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s issued a grant to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation allocated to continue their respite care program. The respite care program assists families for in-home personal care so caregivers in Michigan can tend to their own needs. The respite care program is projected to help 200 Michigan families in 2023.

Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s gave a grant to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) to support projects focused on accelerating a cure and addressing challenging symptoms of the disease. MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today.

Spectrum Health Foundation

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s issued a grant to the Spectrum Health Foundation to be used for the continuation of the EVSP® Big & Loud Program through 2023. You can learn more about the program here.

Uncorked Adventures NP

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s issued a grant to Uncorked Adventures NFP to support Team Synapse in the Blue Ridge Relay to create awareness of Parkinson’s Disease.

Neuro Challenge Foundation

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s issued a grant to the Neuro Challenge Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers, today.

Yoga Moves MS

Adaptive yoga moves any body logo.

The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s issued a grant to Yoga Moves MS to support their Adaptive Yoga Moves for Any Body On Demand platform launching in early 2023. This grant will allow for several special adaptive Yoga series to be available at any time including Foundations of Chair Yoga, Yoga with a Wheelchair, Restorative & Gentle Yoga and much more, at a reduced cost. Our joint wish is that adaptive yoga is accessible to all.
